PUC Enforcement Filing 55454-Effective 3/7/2024
This went into effect in March 2024
The WOWSC hadn't operated as a member-owned, member-controlled water co-op for over ten years, prompting the PUC to intervene. Jeff Walker approved this action.
For years, the board neglected to follow the bylaws and other legal obligations.

The PUC determined the rates to be unjust and unreasonable
In 2020, the WOWSC board hiked rates by 71% due to director misconduct and fraud. In 2024, the PUC deemed these rates unjust and excessive, compelling WOWSC to significantly reduce them.
